Bridge or Tunnel Operations Agency Provide information on traffic including incidents to Canadian and US Border agencies.
Share information on traffic conditions with other centers on either side of the border so traffic operations can be coordinated.
Provide traffic information to the public using the agency website.
Respond to request to close the bridge or tunnel using gates or barriers.
Coordinate traffic signal systems with adjacent traffic management centers on either side of the border crossing.
Provide information on traffic flow to nearby media outlets.
Provide traffic information to the public using dynamic signs, advisory radio, etc. to drivers approaching and traversing a bridge or tunnel.
Manage traffic at signalized intersections on the property of the bridge or tunnel operations agency.
Monitor traffic flow approaching bridges and tunnels
Operate and Maintain bridge or tunnel infrastructure at border crossing - may include ramps and approaches, signs, ITS devices, and control centers.
