Ron was the primary author of the "Systems Engineering for Intelligent Transportation Systems" Handbook published by US DOT in 2007.

Ron also supported Phase 2 of the Systems Engineering Guidebook developed by Caltrans and the California Division of FHWA. As part of this effort, Ron led development of the Systems Engineering Guidebook for ITS web site and CD.

Ron is an instructor in Systems Engineering, providing systems engineering courses offered through the National Highway Institute and the University of California.
